West Texas football comes to Oxford in a critical game for bowl hopes

Texas Tech is coming to Oxford Saturday, and they're bringing a little more than just "steers and queers" with them. Apparently, there isn't much to do in West Texas, but they love their football. They aren't bad at playing the game either.
The Red Raiders may be the fourth best team in the state, but this is still football in Texas.

Do upsets really exist in college football?

What does the word "upset" really mean?
Webster defines upset as "the unlikely taking place, something unexpected".
But, in the world of college football, is there truly such a thing as an upset?
Take for example last weekend's schedule, which saw more than its share of the "unexpected".

Everything that happens ouside Oxford

Welcome to the inaugural Yankee and the Fat Man article. First off, this came as a shock that the New Standard would even want two people like us. We don't even talk about Ole Miss on our sports show. Second, our names imply we're completely different than the student body.
